I'm an infrastructure architect. For sixteen years that's been my craft: Citrix and end-user computing, VMware, AWS, and the automation that keeps all of it running without a human at 3 a.m. I work at the scale where "it broke" means thousands of people can't do their jobs — and designing systems that aren't allowed to fall over teaches you a particular kind of discipline. It's the load-bearing, unglamorous work, and I'm good at it.
Building software never stopped at the office, though. Nights and weekends I ship products of my own — KnowStock, an inventory system a real business now runs on and paid me for; Folio, a finance tracker you can chat with about your own money; FlatLedger, a maintenance-and-accounts ledger for apartment communities; and Convergent, an AI chat client that queries several models at once and lives in a single HTML file. Some sold, some live, some still in progress. It's the same instinct as the day job, pointed at smaller problems: take something fuzzy and make it real and reliable.
I also write about all of it — usually in public, usually before I've fully figured it out. Lately that's meant going deep on AI agents and running models on a server in my own home, mostly to find out what breaks. I learn by building, then I tell people what I learned.
When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm probably training. Based in Hyderabad.
